Colleen Shaddox brings a solid journalism, public relations and development background to Quicksilver. She has written speeches and op-eds for leading public figures, authored many successful grants, and run annual appeals, building funds, and events that came in under budget and over goal. As an award-winning journalist, her work has appeared in The New York Times, the Hartford Courant, Connecticut magazine and American Journalism Review. Her media-relations work includes favorable placements for clients in USA Today and on public radio and ABC News. Colleen is adept at collaborating with other creative professionals, a skill that serves her particularly well in developing communication plans and in publication startups. Colleen is devoted to the work of the not-for-profit sector and is particularly active in the areas of children’s rights and economic justice. To her consulting work, she brings a passion to use her talents to better society. |

During a versatile two-decade career as a communicator, Russell Shaddox has worked as a journalist, copywriter, editor, print designer, web designer and art director. Over the years, Russell has been published in The New York Times and has designed, edited or written pieces for such diverse clients as Yale University, Pez Candies, the Teikyo University Group, Bridgestone Sports and ESPN. Prompted by both working and personal interests, Russell has studied many aspects of communication, including how people read and interact, how to persuade with honesty and clarity, and what constitutes excellent design in print and on the web. Russell’s technical savvy is additionally valuable in the current communication environment, in which electronic media are taking an increasingly central role. |
